Circle in the Square Theater
The Bard SummerScape Production of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Oklahoma! is now Broadway at the Circle in the Square Theater. Directed by Daniel Fish, choreographed by John Heginbotham, and produced by Eva Price, this acclaimed revival is running for a limited engagement through September 1, 2019.

White Oak Creative Residency
DH travels to White Oak in Yulee, FL for a two-week creative residency supported by the Howard Gilman Foundation. Immersed in the natural setting at White Oak, DH looks forward to diving into creation on our newest evening-length work, Mushroom Hunter, which will invite audiences on a journey inspired by John Cage's passion for mushrooms and mycology.

DH returns to Kingsborough College in Brooklyn as part of the CUNY Dance Initiative to continue development on Mushroom Hunter and other new works to premiere in 2019/2020.

Candide at the Ravinia Festival
Highland Park, IL
Choreographed by John Heginbotham and directed by Alison Moritz, chamber orchestra The Knights led by conductor Eric Jacobsen, perform Leonard Bernstein’s Candide at the Ravinia Festival. Public ticket sales begin May 8, 2019.

World Premiere of HERZ SCHMERZ at Baryshnikov Arts Center

Following their 2017 collaborative debut, The Principles of Uncertainty, John Heginbotham and Maira Kalman co-conceive a new dance-play, HERZ SCHMERZ. Early 20th century Swiss author Robert Walser’s witty writings inspire an eccentric and hyper-detailed landscape of movement, text, visual design, and live chamber music, creating an impressionistic observatory of life's beautiful minutiae and most important themes.
HERZ SCHMERZ is the featured production of BAC Fall Fête 2019 on October 7, 2019.

For CSO Proof: American Perspective, curated by composer Timo Andres, Dance Heginbotham joins the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra on stage at the Music Hall for an evening of live music and dance lead by conductor, Andre de Ridder.
